Step into a creative journey inspired by the ancient practice of petroglyphs where early humans carved symbols and stories onto stone surfaces. This hands-on workshop invites participants of all ages to explore how stories were once communicated through marks, textures, and simple visual language.

In this engaging session, each participant will experiment with clay and colours to create textures and patterns. Guided by art educators, participants will learn to create rock-like textures using a variety of tools and then paint over the surface to add your own symbols, characters, patterns, or visual stories.

This workshop is playful and imaginative interpretation inspired by cave paintings encouraging participants to build their own narrative in a contemporary way.

Participants will engage in:

* Creating textured clay surfaces

* Learning simple carving and mark-making techniques

* Painting symbols and imagery inspired by petroglyph traditions

* Understanding how stories were shared visually in ancient times

* Crafting a personal story using lines, shapes, and imagination
