This talk explores TYEB MEHTA’s sustained engagement with a limited set of recurring images within his paintings. Through close looking and reflection, the session considers how repetition becomes a method of inquiry, creating depth and intensity within his work.
Drawing on philosopher Ramchandra Gandhi’s reading of MEHTA’s practice, the session engages with key ideas through the lens of the Shantiniketan Triptych. As Prabodh Parikh presents visual references alongside the talk, audiences are invited to reconsider how images are seen, interpreted, and experienced over time.
