Sunil Hirani is a prominent financial technology entrepreneur and investor, known for launching and scaling market-leading exchanges and processing platforms. He began his career designing software for the Space Station Program in Houston, Texas, and later studied at Washington University in St. Louis and Northwestern University for business.

After a stint on Wall Street, Sunil focused on applying technology solutions to improve capital markets, particularly in the global credit and fixed-income sectors. His innovative approaches have led to the establishment of a globally regulated clearinghouse during the banking crisis and the creation of the first US digital dollar stablecoin. He also developed a methodology for fair and transparent settlement of payouts in corporate bankruptcies.

Sunil is passionate about philanthropy, particularly in the arts and education. As a collector of South Asian art, he has contributed to major exhibitions, including the Asia Society’s landmark show “The Progressive Revolution: Modern Art for a New India.” He has actively supported acquisitions for various museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and has helped bridge the gap in art conservation practices between the US and India.

In education, inspired by his own experiences, Sunil has established scholarships at his alma mater and other institutions to support financially needy students. He also sponsors a Speaker Series at the India Cultural Center in Greenwich, CT, aimed at showcasing positive role models for the South Asian community.

He enjoys mentoring individuals and teams to help bring their ideas to fruition.
