Apurva Kackar

Apurva Kackar is the Director of Institutional Affairs and Outreach at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), a non-profit organization under the Shiv Nadar Foundation.

With over two decades of experience in Human Resources and Marketing, Apurva has played a pivotal role in KNMA’s journey from its inception to its current status as one of India’s most respected art institutions. She began her career as the Head of Human Resources at HCL Technologies before joining KNMA in 2009. 

Apurva was key to developing the museum’s foundational blueprint and assembling its initial team. She spearheaded KNMA’s branding efforts, firmly establishing its reputation both nationally and internationally. Her leadership has shaped the museum’s Education and Public Outreach programs, fostering meaningful connections between art and the community. She has also played a vital role in building KNMA’s institutional networks, advancing its mission to make art accessible to diverse audiences. Additionally, she has managed critical government relationships and nurtured strategic collaborations to support the museum’s initiatives.

Apurva is a double gold medalist, holding a Post Graduate Degree in HR Development and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Degree in Psychology.

Apurva remains dedicated to bridging the gap between art and the public, strengthening KNMA’s commitment to community building and the creation of a thriving museum culture in India.
