KNMA presents Khatta Meetha, a participatory workshop led by Hariom Srivastav that invites participants to reflect on the many flavours, contradictions, and layered experiences that shape who we are.
Like a good khatta-meetha pickle, our identities are shaped over time through memories, emotions, relationships, and lived experiences. Yet we are often encouraged to simplify ourselves or fit into predefined labels. This workshop celebrates the richness and complexity of being human, embracing the sweet, sour, playful, tender, and unexpected parts of ourselves that exist side by side.
Through storytelling, collaborative play, and stitching, participants will explore identity as something that is continually shaped and reshaped rather than fixed. Working with textiles as a medium for reflection and expression, the workshop encourages participants to move beyond labels, embrace contradiction, and create personal narratives that honour the richness of their lived experiences.
