Set in present-day Mumbai, IF ONLY follows four young adults navigating the unpredictable world of the Hindi film industry. Aaliya is a rising actress whose success conceals deep insecurities. Karam is a struggling actor determined to become the archetypal Bollywood hero. Anika, a talented photographer, longs to be recognised for who she truly is, while Vedang, an emerging writer, struggles to find an authentic voice amid the pressures of commercial success.

As their lives become increasingly intertwined, each is forced to confront personal secrets, ambitions, and choices that threaten to unravel not only their own futures but also those of the people around them. Through an intense and layered narrative, the play examines the complexities of aspiration, identity, and the pursuit of recognition.

Blending sharp dialogue with emotional depth, IF ONLY offers a compelling reflection on ambition, authenticity, and the price of success. As dreams collide with reality, the play asks what remains when the pursuit of being seen begins to overshadow who we truly are.

About the Director:

Vidushi Mehra is a theatre producer, director, and actor with over 12 years of experience in the performing arts. Having transitioned to full-time theatre in 2009, she has acted in more than 40 productions and established herself as a significant voice in Delhi’s theatre scene. Known for producing and directing contemporary and Broadway-inspired works, her practice is driven by a commitment to compelling storytelling and innovative stagecraft.

Bivas Sharma hails from Tripura and made his entry into the world of music by beginning his training in Tabla in 1989 and has since then attained Visarada in Rabindra Sangeet and Tabla. Bivas is also proficient in playing the guitar and various percussion instruments and is a music composer & lyricist, and also a performance artist.
