Experiment with layering, assembling, and rebuilding materials to create new visual narratives inspired by TYEB MEHTA.

TYEB MEHTA Bearing Weight FEATURED EVENTS

This Saturday Family Workshop explores how forms can be broken apart, reassembled, and transformed to create new visual narratives. Inspired by TYEB MEHTA’s fractured visual language, the session invites participants to think of images not as fixed compositions, but as structures that can shift, evolve, and hold multiple meanings.

Through hands-on experimentation, participants will explore relationships between memory, form, and construction. The workshop examines how incomplete, disrupted, or fragmented elements can carry emotional and visual significance, opening up new possibilities for storytelling and interpretation.

Working beyond the flat surface, participants will create layered compositions through processes of assembling, rearranging, and combining materials. The session encourages reflection on how balance, contrast, and transformation emerge through acts of breaking and rebuilding, revealing new connections between material and meaning.

Designed for children and adults, the workshop offers an engaging space to explore creativity through experimentation, collaboration, and material play.
