Exploring the quiet beauty of still life through light, shadow, texture, and observation-based sketching.

Still Life invites participants into a focused drawing experience centred on observation, composition, and tonal study. Through sketch-based exercises, the session explores how everyday objects shift in appearance through light, shadow, texture, and spatial relationships.

Presented at Utsav, The Square, GMR Aerocity in collaboration with India Experiences®, this edition of the Sketching Series encourages participants to slow down, study forms closely, and respond through line, texture, and mark-making. Moving between observation and interpretation, the workshop approaches drawing as both a technical practice and a way of engaging more attentively with the surrounding world.
