About KNMA

Established at the initiative of the avid art collector Kiran Nadar, the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) opened its doors to the public in January 2010, as the first private museum of art exhibiting modern and contemporary works from India and the sub-continent. Located in the heart of New Delhi, KNMA as a non-commercial, not-for-profit organization intends to exemplify the dynamic relationship between art and culture through its exhibitions, publications, educational, and public programs.

KNMA functions as both a museum and a learning space, bringing together artists, curators, educators, students, and the wider public through meaningful engagement with art and culture.

About the Role

The Desktop Support Engineer ensures smooth IT operations across KNMA by providing L1/L2 support, managing devices, and resolving technical issues. The role supports exhibitions and institutional work by maintaining reliable systems. Ideal candidates are proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L1/L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Mac operating systems
  • Manage hardware setup, upgrades, and replacements across locations
  • Support remote users using remote desktop tools
  • Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems, Outlook, Teams, VPN, user profiles, and network connectivity
  • Configure and manage Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
  • Troubleshoot email flow issues and manage MFA setup (Authenticator App/Company Portal)
  • Perform Active Directory tasks including domain joining, password resets, and account unlocks
  • Assist with Group Policy management and basic Azure AD user administration
  • Install, manage, and troubleshoot antivirus solutions and patch management systems
  • Support device encryption using BitLocker and ensure compliance with IT security policies
  • Maintain documentation and handle multiple support tickets efficiently

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Diploma/bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science
  • 3–5 years desktop support experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac
  • Basic networking knowledge
  • Active Directory & Azure AD basics
  • Microsoft 365 experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

 

Desirable Skills (but not Mandatory)

  • Experience working in cultural institutions, museums, or similar environments
  • Familiarity with IT asset management and ticketing tools
  • Exposure to endpoint security and compliance tools
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, or similar
