Of worlds within worlds FEATURED EVENTS

Themed around the ongoing exhibition of worlds within worlds: Gulammohammed Sheikh, A Retrospective, Game Day – Discovery Trail invites participants to experience the exhibition through a playful act of looking and searching. Designed as an interactive journey through the gallery spaces, the activity encourages visitors to engage closely with artworks and discover details that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Participants take part in a timed discovery game inspired by visual search puzzles. Moving through the exhibition in small groups, they look for recurring elements, symbols, and visual motifs across the artworks and mark their findings on a grid-like scoresheet. The activity invites participants to slow down, observe carefully, and uncover connections across the exhibition’s many layered narratives.

Beyond the game itself, the activity offers a new way of encountering Sheikh’s richly detailed visual worlds, where multiple histories, stories, and symbols coexist within a single image. The scoresheets can also be kept as a personalised record of the experience and an interactive takeaway from the exhibition.
