Songlines Featured Event
Tracing Starlight is an immersive programme centred on the Pleiades star cluster, also known as the Seven Sisters — a key element of the Songlines: Tracking the Seven Sisters narrative. For centuries, Indigenous cultures have looked to the Pleiades for navigation, seasonal rhythms, and origin stories, weaving celestial observation into everyday life.
The evening begins with a curated walkthrough of the exhibition, introducing participants to the cultural significance of the Seven Sisters. The experience then moves outdoors for guided telescope observations of the Pleiades, planets, and other celestial bodies visible in the winter Delhi sky.
Led by Skygaze India, the session brings together ancient star knowledge and contemporary astronomy, offering a rare opportunity to experience the night sky through both cultural and scientific lenses.
Designed for curious learners of all ages, the programme invites participants to look upward and reconnect with humanity’s enduring relationship with the stars.
A curated mealbox will be served as part of the experience.
