Radhika Chopra
Senior Advisor

Radhika Chopra is a collector and patron of modern and South Asian contemporary art with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wellesley College and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard University. In addition to building her highly regarded personal collection, she is a key figure in the South Asian art ecosystem through her involvement with non-profit organizations, museums, and educational institutions, with a focus on building sustainable institutional support for artists (particularly those at mid-career), and fostering art practices and cultural exchange across the Asia Professional Pacific.

She began her career as an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York before serving as a bank regulator at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Her passion for art led her to transition to the contemporary art space as Gallery Director of Bose Pasa Modern, one of the first contemporary South Asian galleries in the United States.

She founded the Foundation for Indian Contemporary Art (FICA), serving as its Founding Director before transitioning to Board Member. She established the Patron’s Program, which has supported over 70 members, and has provided annual artist project support including Shadow 3 by Shilpa Gupta, Memoir Bar by Thukral and Tagra, Anantham by Jitish Kallat, and Tenderfoot by Shum Neesar.

As an Advisor Member of FICA, she serves on Lakshmi Mittal South Asia Institute’s Advisory Council at Harvard University and is a patron of the India office. She established the Radhika Chopra Research Fellowship at the Asia Art Archive and initiated the Radhika Chopra Award for the Asia Arts Society India Centre, which supports four award categories. Over the past two decades, she has supported seminal art projects including exhibitions in collaboration with the Venice Biennale and the Kochi-Muziris Biennale.
