Associate Director – Visual Arts
Akanksha Rastogi is Associate Director – Visual Arts at the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, New Delhi, and has been part of the museum’s core instituting team since 2011. She plays a key role in shaping KNMA’s curatorial direction through research-led exhibitions and long-term institutional frameworks, contributing to the museum’s evolving vision and expansion.
She conceptualised Young Artists of Our Times (YAOT) in 2019 and continues to lead the evolving KNMA initiative, which centres intergenerational dialogue and supports emerging artistic practices through exhibitions, publications, and collaborative formats. Within this framework, she has curated, among others, exhibitions such as please touch gently (zines, comics, ephemera) (2025), The Elemental You (2024), and Very Small Feelings (2023).Her curatorial work also includes serving as Associate Curator of the India Pavilion at the Venice Biennale (2019) and Guest Curator at the Dhaka Art Summit (2023).
Beyond the museum, Akanksha is the founding member of the artist collective WALA (2009). She studied Art History at the National Museum Institute and English Literature at Delhi University, and has received fellowships from organisations including the India Foundation for the Arts (IFA), FICA, and the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation.
